About us

In 1998, the Stop AIDS project evolved into an independent organization whose work has always been closely linked to the activities of the RosaLila PantherInnen.

Stop AIDS is a project of the RosaLila PantherInnen and sees itself as an initiative to raise awareness of issues related to HIV and AIDS. By spreading prevention messages and promoting a positive view of safer sex in public, we help prevent new HIV infections. Our activities are primarily aimed at men who have sex exclusively or occasionally with other men (MSM).

Since 2022, through the citizens’ initiative “Stop AIDS – Start PrEP,” we have been advocating for free access to PrEP medications based on the German model. Thanks to the collective pressure exerted by many Austrian NGOs, we were able to achieve our goal: Since April 2024, HIV PrEP has been available free of charge in Austria as well! Projects and Activities

We regularly host “The FAGtory,” a sex- and body-positive clubbing series, at the Postgarage in Graz.
Every year, as part of Porn Night Graz, we screen queer-feminist films that go beyond mainstream porn.
As a youth project, we use ABOUT GAY to promote sex education for boys who like boys.
We promote safe sex with condoms, which are distributed free of charge. Not every man is the same size, so a condom that’s too tight or too loose can be a barrier to using one. We want to lower this barrier by now offering four different sizes—labeled humorously and easily understood with the animal names Snake, Giraffe, Zebra, and Elephant.
